I grew up a PC person, always using DOS, then windows 3.1, win 95, win nt, win xp, and now windows vista beta 2. I own 2 pc's. And I still use them. But I have to say Mac's are just so much cooler. For example: I'm posting this comment from my Dashboard. It's this little program that contains lots of useful small programs, like a calculator, a calender, the weather, an email inbox preview, etc etc. it's totally customizable, and it's so cool windows added it to their new OS Windows Vista. Something about macs... they are so sleek and stylish, and they run smooth as well. Everything (well almost everything) works together and integrates with each other, and it's just a pleasure to use. So, even though I will always own a pc (I need to play the latest games after all) Most of my stuff done at work will be on my little 12" iBook.

Great book, anyone who is into mythology can't miss this one. It's the
first book I've been able to read in months. I used to read all the
time, but had a dry spell for a while. It's good to get back into books,
my brain was dying.

I've decided to try to begin to write meaningful posts. Ones that will not only be more engaging to read, but also will improve my writing skills, a field in which I am lacking. Now if I can only work on my procrastination problem.

Microsoft Tyranny!

So I was using my legally downloaded and activated Windows Vista Beta 2 today, and I noticed that it had suddenly been deactivated! After trying to reactivate and getting error after error I finally search for people having the same problem.. What do I find? This! "Daemon Tools ver 3.02 will install and run on Vista 5384...BUT!!!! it screws the activation.
It resets the activation to 14days and will not allow Vista to be activated until it is uninstalled."

Utter Bullshit! Now Microsoft decides what i install on my machine? I couldn't believe it! Till i uninstalled Daemon tools and tried to activate windows again. Well whaddya know! It worked fine! And people wonder why I'm starting to love macs.
Microsoft has over stepped the line this time.. I'm uninstalling vista and going back to Linux

So It's back to work, vacation is over, but hey thats a good thing right? Im my line of work, vacations equal no work. So when there is work, I never take vacations. Or very very rarely... (3 days in 2 years). Now though I'm going to have fairly steady work on a hit show, so maybe I'll eventually be able to take a long weekend here or there. But for now, I'm just happy to be working. Eventually, I'll hopefully land a job on a big hit that will never close (at least not for a long while). But, you know you can never tell with broadway. So I'm happy to be back at work.. even with all it's downfalls, the strange hours, the fact I don't see the love of my life as often. And to think people hear about by job and say it sounds like the perfect work. Just goes to show the grass is always greener.

Ahh it seems to be working again!

So, I'm posting this blog from my MAC dashboard. Yee-Haw! Laziness wins yet another round! It's great to be able to feed my tigergotchi and blog at the same time.. As I post this from my mac, I'm installing Vista on my second home computer. Yes... I like it that much. Sure it's a little buggy, but it is just so much slicker than XP, even in the classic mode without the AERO glass super duper effects...

So after a long delay....

I'm back! Rejoice! ....*crickets* I often wonder why I bother doing a blog at all? I'm terrible at writing, and my life is about as interesting as a brick... ok maybe a brick covered with dirt. Yet, I trudge on thinking of things to write about. Thankfully, this blog is about the whole not knowing what to write about thing, so I'm off the hook. What will I write about next time. WHAT TO SAY? Until then, who knows..... who knows. Well, the Shadow, but other than him, who knows......

Welcome to Syntropecia... Wondering what that is? Look it up. this is a blog, not a wikipedia. I'm a 27 year old male living in NYC trying to make it just a day at a time. I made this blog for the same reason I made a resolution today. I've decided to try out more of what this world has to offer. Unfortunatly, this takes money, and blogs are free, so I decided it was a good place to start. ( I also resolved to lose 10 pounds, but anyway) I had some money recently, but I placed and order from geeks.com a few days ago for: a graphics tablet, a 288 disc cd carrier, an aluminum notebook briefcase, some swiss army creditcard that turns into a handy dandy multi purpose tool, some KVM cables, some USB extension cords and a USB Wireless Lan adapter. sounds like a splurge,but everything was under $100 dollars total, so I'll be posting reviews of everything I bought in my next blog.... Speaking of which, I ordered some other items which arrived which i'l review now:

Firstly, I ordered some Ti-book (older style Titanium Powerbook) touch up paint. it's supposed to cover up scratches, and does a fairly decent job. Unfortunatly, I have the artists finesse of a rhinocerous, so it just looks ok. I also got some polish for the metal and the screen. it removed some gunk from the screen but not the really ground in stuff. ahh well.

Secondly, from geeks.com I ordered A usb hub, a usb external drive enclosure, and a lap top bag. all for about 20 bucks! 30 with shipping! Now thats a deal! Everything worked great and I really reccomend the site for the finanicially strapped. Well I hope you enjoyed reading this first post as many times I had tp fix spelling and grammar mistakes.
